Description
A desert bighorn ewe and lamb watch the photographers from a safe perch on the red rock of Zion National Park. As we drove out to the east side of Zion to get the views from that perspective, we encountered a herd of bighorn sheep crossing the road. They seemed rather used to vehicle traffic, as they timed their crossing perfectly to miss the traffic. Once again safe on the red rock ledges, they were free to check out the few of us photographers intent on watching them.
We have been to Zion 4 or 5 times, and this was the first time we had seen so many of these wonderful creatures, and so close.
