Bob and Nancy, FV. This is the first live Chukar I've ever seen! When I was a child, we went on a lot of group campouts and always had a long spiked bbq with various wild animals turning over the fire. One uncle always asked, "pork, beef, or chukar?" We were to understand one of the birds was chukar and that it was very gamey and not desirable. I have no idea, as I don't even know if there were a Chukar there. But the family always laughed and said nobody would want Chukar for dinner.
