Description
While driving through Georgia on one of our recent road trips, we saw a large Confederate flag flying high in the breeze as we drove through the tiny town of Weston in Webster County. Upon second glance, it was flying over a small cemetery of Confederate soldiers and family member. When we stopped to explore, we met a gentleman who filled us in on some of the local Civil War history. A very interesting place to visit and explore.
This image captures the detail of a tombstone showing the freemason symbol.
While this war is a painful memory in our history, the soldiers who fought for the South deserve the respect of all Americans, as they were still Americans.
